Toy story 3 easter eggs11/27/2022 ![]() ![]() ![]() Ray the Scientific Stingray from Finding Nemo^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Ī toy tractor, like the one seen in Cars, can be seen behind them. – When Rex is waiting for the kids to burst through the door, there are some toys shivering under the desk to the right – the same toys from Tin Toy, Pixar’s first animated short. ![]() – The train Woody is driving is numbered locomotive number 95, which is Lightning McQueen’s number and is also the year that Toy Story came out. Which appears in the name of Velocistar237 in the chat window – The 237 number in the screenname is a reference to director Lee Unkrich’s favorite movie The Shining. In fact, director Josh Cooley has over 10 pages. In the previously released clip, we see Andy has an iTunes window open on his laptop You’ll definitely want to keep your eyes peeled for tons of Easter eggs, because, uh, this film has more than any previous Pixar movie ever. The computer the toys are using at the daycare center is an iMac with OSX and Safari. Steve Jobs, who co-founded Apple with Steve Wozniak, bought The Graphics Group (later renamed Pixar) from Lucasfilm’s computer graphics division in 1986, and served as CEO until Pixar was acquired by Disney in 2006. Pixar has a history of Apple/Mac references(which i don’t like because i am a PC guy). I have gathered some of the Easter Eggs that are just revealed in the Trailer for Toy Story 3. In Toy Story 3 its shown that Andy’s mom’s car has a license plate that reads A113, and futhurmore, the plate frame nods to director Lee Unrich’s hometown Cleveland Ohio. It is an inside joke of CalArts alumni (a reference to the classroom number that was used by Animation students, including John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Brad Bird, Pete Docter) and much like George Lucas puts a 1138 in his film, Pixar films have this stamp as well. In every Pixar film so far the A113 has always been present. The directors all love to hide little tributes and nods to other Pixar films, and even references to other films that have impacted them. One of my favorite things to do when watching trailers an movies is to look out for all the Easter Eggs. ![]()

Fifa 16 pc vs console11/27/2022 ![]() It’s amazing how long the series lasts at this point and how EA Sports has discovered so many ways to polish, refine, and renovate digital sports. Which you'll choose is simply a matter of taste.Įurogamer's PES 2016 review will go live next week after we've tested online functionality.Aanother year and yet another FIFA title to join the ranks of the year-end game. For now, we can take comfort in the fact that both games were great last year, and both have been improved. As ever with games with such finely tuned mechanics, it's often not until weeks, or months later that their real personalities reveal themselves. So, PES perfect for a quick match with your mates, FIFA better for hours and hours of competitive online play? Perhaps. But FIFA will seem to many like a closer approximation of the real thing - particularly in higher level matches, where games are often decided by one mistake, and YouTube-worthy highlights are something of a rarity. PES has a higher frequency of spectacular goals, and higher-scoring matches. In FIFA's defence, though, here's that word again that I'm trying not to use - realism. In PES it almost seems like you're guiding it through the air. The ball itself also feels more within your control - whereas a long pass in FIFA often feels like activating an AI pass mechanic, particularly when it goes to the wrong man. When selected, players switch on just that little bit more quickly than in FIFA and, perhaps with some sacrifices made in terms of animations, you feel less constricted, particularly when passing through midfield, by the angles in which you receive and then turn with the ball. ![]() To my mind, the reason PES was so well-received last year, and the reason it will also be this, is that it's a freer, looser experience than its rival. The full reviews, to follow next week, will take into account the whole gamut of game modes, graphics, online options and licenses, but when the whistle blows what is it that sets them apart? FIFA 16 has an in-game trainer that suggests actions to take. The question, of course, is which of these two interpretations of football is "best", or at least best for different kinds of players. ![]() ![]() But it remains a slower, more patient football experience, one of working angles and grinding down opponents to create chances, of finding gaps between lines and knowing when to best to pass or shoot. Defenders seem slightly more agile, which helps when faced with tricky dribblers, and I noticed slide tackles are easier to control, making them less of a last-ditch option than has previously been the case. But the general feel of the game remains relatively unchanged - one of quick transitions and spectacular goals, players gliding across the pitch as if on ice skates to volley a ball that floats, tantalisingly, in a way that seems to reflect a world with a different gravitational pull and weather system than ours.įIFA, meanwhile, has barely changed at all. There's a clear improvement, too, in attacking AI, with much less prompting required for your teammates to make clever runs off the ball. This has clearly been a priority for PES Productions, and the result makes for a much less chaotic playing experience. Last year's offering was sorely lacking in a collision system of any sophistication, which made defensive blocking and tackling unpredictable and unsatisfying. PES' biggest change is the manner in which players physically interact with each other. PES 2016 cover star Neymar takes a moment to reflect on his genius. I'll do my best to spare you the marketing spiel - FIFA apparently offers "Confidence in Defending" this year, which, as a Liverpool fan, sounds right up my alley, while PES offers "Celbration Control" - and a focus on what's most apparent after kicking off in both games. This makes for a pleasingly gentle transition for those who upgrade - little relearning is required - assuming, that is, that they are as happy with the state of play as the developers seem to be. For the first time in a fair few years, FIFA 16 and PES 2016 offer only incremental improvements to their match engines rather than drastic rebalancing. What can be said with some clarity is that both EA and Konami appear happy with last year's vintage. We may as well be talking about oaky bouquets and hints of pencil shavings, given the inexactness of such terms. One year FIFA is more "realistic", the next, PES is more "fluid". Make a quick judgement, pluck arbitrarily from the glossary of established terms and - as long as you express yourself with conviction - most readers will be happy to follow your lead. In some ways, I imagine writing about football games is a bit like writing about wine. ![]()

Kon boot 2.311/27/2022 ![]() ![]() The second challenge was to get both versions of OPHcrack (XP and Vista) on the drive, since ALL of the files overlapped. ![]() You then copy these files to the root of your thumb drive and so on and so on. It turns out that you have to burn the Distro to a spare thumb drive using tazusb (Slitaz installer) from. OPHcrack (the latest version - 2.3.0), a tool I have known, loved, and depended on (at least until I met Kon-boot thank you) was a apparently different than any of the other distros because just copying the files from the. Some distros fell under the examples webpage: these included Ubuntu LiveCD (a different example because there is no boot folder and way more than two folders, but it ended up working without changing any folder names) as well as some othersįew Distros fell into the third option, but the ones that did were difficult to get working. Most distros fell under the first of these options: Backtrack 3, Backtrack 4, Knoppix, and Trinity Rescue Kit all worked fine under these conditions Looking at a (now taken down) web page with tons of examples (appropriately added to this tutorial under Examples.txt) Looking at the information provided in the syslinux or isolinux file in most Linux distros I then added the appropriate information by using the information by either: Since it would be impossible to have 6 or 7 different boot folders that don't overlap on the same thumb drive (without multiple partitions - a route I tried to take for way too long) I simply renamed the boot folder to something like bootbt3 or bootknop depending on the distro, and just left the other folder as is. Most Linux distros come with 2 folders: a boot folder and another folder that actually holds the meat and potatoes of the distro. isos either to my desktop or directly to the root of the thumb drive (or you could just copy the files from a burnt version of the distro, just as long as you get the files to the root of your thumb drive). Of course there aren't any Linux distributions and utilities installed yet, so let's move on to adding all the goodies. Finally finish off the install by creating a blank text file in the root of your USB drive called menu.lst. You will then need to copy the grldr file from the grub4dos package to the root of your USB drive. No options need to be checked, the defaults are fine. Once you are assured the correct drive is selected go ahead and click Install. If you're not sure which drive is your USB drive check with Windows Disk Manager. Be sure to select the correct drive number. Select the disk option and pick your USB drive. If you are using a drive over 2 GB you will receive an error about dismounting - it's no big deal - simply format the drive as Fat32 with the Windows Disk Manager. With the drive plugged in run the PeToUSB executable, select the drive, check Enable Disk Format, Quick Format and Force Volume Dismount and click Start. Prepare the USB drive by formatting it with PeToUSB. While the video walks you through the step by step I'll provide an overview with links here.įirst you'll need three programs, PeToUSB, grubinst and grub4dos. Fuji bikes for sale used11/27/2022 ![]() ![]() At this time, we are suspending the sale of Fuji police bikes until a conversation with these departments has occurred and we are confident that real change is being made. In an effort to make real change, we are beginning a dialogue with police departments nationwide to address how bikes are used in police activity and to ensure that police’s on-bike training reinforces that bicycles are not a weapon against our community. Community police on bikes can better connect with and understand the neighborhood, facilitating positive relationships between law enforcement and the citizens they are sworn to serve and protect. We had always viewed the use of our bicycles by police, fire, security and EMS as one of the better forms of community outreach. We have seen instances in the last week where police have used bicycles in violent tactics, which we did not intend or design our bicycles for. To have these efforts overshadowed by cases of violence with bicycles is unacceptable. We support many diverse organizations and athletes-not for marketing stories, but because we truly want to make a difference in our community. To hear that there are instances where bicycles have been used as a weapon against those who are vulnerable, those speaking out against the unjust treatment of people of color, and those standing alongside them advocating change, has deeply upset our community, our company and the heart of the Fuji brand. Earlier this week, Trek president John Burke addressed systemic racism and police violence in a blog entitled 'When justice is not enough' though, did not mention police usage of Trek Bikes during the protests.įuji’s core values have always been rooted in supporting communities and organizations that are making real change at home and abroad. – BikeCo,LLC: North American distributor of Fuji Bicycles."īicycles manufactured by other companies, including Trek and Volcanic, are visible in videos of police using violence against unarmed protestors. ![]() ![]() We stand with you and look forward to doing our part to do better. Who are the original little rascals11/25/2022 ![]() ![]() New incarnations. In 1977 tv producer Norman Lear cast Gary Coleman in a pilot version of a revived version of the Little Rascals. (Along the way, some of the more politically incorrect elements were edited out over the years). In the mid 1950s the series began to be syndicated to television, where it was near ubiquitous in the after school time slot for the next three decades. Spanky, Alfalfa and Darla all dropped out 1940-1941 leaving the series to limp along without them until its conclusion in 1944. In 1939 they were joined by “Mickey” Gubitosi, better known to Baretta fans as Robert Blake the following year Billy “Froggy” Laughlin joined. ![]() The tone became sweeter and more polished, less “rough and tumble” and gritty. In 1938, Hal Roach dropped out of shorts production, handing the reins over to his distributor, MGM. In 1934 came Darla Hood, Eugene “Porky” Lee, Carl “Alfalfa” Switzer and his brother Harold, and Billie “Buckwheat” Thomas, initially represented as Stymie’s sister, though he was a boy, and would later switch to that gender role. In 1931, they were joined by three year old George “Spanky” Macfarland, whose adorable catchphrase “Okey doke” became a highlight of the films and eventually made him the star. Their teacher Miss Crabtree was played by June Marlowe. (Note: from this point, I’m only going to mention the more famous members of the gang, there were dozens more besides these over the years). Older kids were switched out new ones came in, including Jackie Cooper (soon to go on as a major star in features such as 1931’s The Champ and to enjoy a flourishing 60 year career after that), as well as Norman “Chubby” Chaney and Matthew “Stymie” Beard. The sound arrival saw those wonderful big band scores composed by Leroy Shield and Marvin Hatley, with the actual theme song written by Shield. The aspects of poverty and grittiness clicked especially in the 1930s images from these films are often what I think of when I am imagining those times. Talkies and the Depression arrived at about the same time. What has come to be regarded as its most significant aspect by cultural historians is that the Gang functions as a kind of color-and-gender-blind utopia: girls, boys, blacks and whites all playing and interacting equally side by side, the premise being that kids are innocent, oblivious to the bigoted attitudes that will set in as they become adults. The humor was generally gentle and universal, and centered around the kids getting into the kind of trouble Dennis the Menace might relate to. But one in which the little ones are not saccharine little dollies – no, those are the ones the Gang tends to get in scraps with. If they are idealized, the inspiration seems to be Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn – a world of back fences and horse barns and lemonade stands. The kids in the gang are poor, unkempt, often barefoot. In the Our Gang comedies, the Roach aesthetic of (relative) realism prevails. Most people don’t know that the franchise was originally created under Charley Chase’s supervision, and the writing stable included such future greats as Frank Capra, Leo McCarey, Frank Tashlin and Walter Lantz, among many others. Their animal companion Pete the Pup was drafted from the competing Buster Brown film series, in which he had played “Tige.” In 1922, Roach had the inspiration to build a whole gang of friends around him, and other kids were recruited for the job: curly haired Mary Kornman, freckle-faced Mickey Daniels, Jack Davis (Harold Lloyd’s brother-in-law), wild-haired Jackie Condon, the grossly corpulent Joe Cobb, and Allen “Farina” Hoskins. That’s him on Lloyd’s shoulders in Number, Please, for example. The kernel of Our Gang began with “Sunshine Sammy” Morrison, an African American child actor who began appearing with Harold Lloyd and Snub Pollard in Hal Roach shorts as a kind of mascot in 1919. Those who primarily know the cast from the series’ latter days may like to know about some of the original gang. Measuring from inception to the present day, Our Gang enjoys the distinction of being the longest lasting series of comedy shorts in the history of American cinema. Most Americans from the Baby Boom Generation through Generation X know these comedy shorts well from their showings on television, though since the ones that were distributed to TV were mainly from the Depression years of the 1930s, they might be surprised to learn the series started in the silent days (1922) and lasted all the way until 1944, 22 years, outlasting the popular Spanky, Alfalfa and Darla. Because I’ve had occasion to mention this franchise many times on this blog and in other writings, and it’s pretty important to film comedy history, I thought it fitting to finally do a special post on the comedy film short series known as “Our Gang” or “The Little Rascals.” ![]()

Managing oneself audiobook free11/25/2022 ![]() ![]() ![]() This article challenges readers to take responsibility for managing their futures, both in and out of the office. They develop when people are prepared for opportunities because they have asked themselves those questions and have rigorously assessed their unique characteristics. Today’s successful careers are not planned out in advance. If you do that, you can transform yourself from an ordinary worker into an outstanding performer. Instead, concentrate on improving the skills you have and accepting assignments that are tailored to your individual way of working. He challenges each of us to ask ourselves: What are my strengths? How do I perform? What are my values? Where do I belong? What should my contribution be? Don’t try to change yourself, Drucker cautions. Audiobook 0.00 Free with your Audible trial Hardcover 30.31 6 New from 30.31 Paperback 14.87 21 New from 14. But you also need to think about your career and professional growth-actively. How do you make time to manage yourself You need to focus on your work-succeeding in the job you have now. ![]() But too often busy managers neglect to apply their planning, management, and execution skills to themselves. But, Drucker says, very few people actually know-let alone take advantage of-their fundamental strengths. You're adept at managing your job-working toward the goals of your team, your unit, and your company. It may seem obvious that people achieve results by doing what they are good at and by working in ways that fit their abilities. And we have to stay mentally alert and engaged during a 50-year working life, which means knowing how and when to change the work we do. We have to place ourselves where we can make the greatest contribution to our organizations and communities. What does that mean? As Peter Drucker tells us in this seminal article first published in 1999, it means we have to learn to develop ourselves. Today we must all learn to manage ourselves. Throughout history, people had little need to manage their careers-they were born into their stations in life or, in the recent past, they relied on their companies to chart their career paths. ![]()
